In 2006, Dr. Kozomara resided at the Clinica Oculistica Carreggi in Florence, Italy, on a one-year fellowship.
In 2008, he became the first person to perform laser correction of doptria in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2011, Dr. Kozomara was awarded the award for the best scientific work of a young ophthalmologist by the Croatian Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
dr. Kozomara performed over 15,000 laser diopter correction operations, over 5,000 cataract operations, and about 5,000 of all other eye operations.
He also underwent laser dioptre correction surgery himself, as well as dioptre correction surgery for reading by installing EDOF lenses.
